Verb is actually far better than expected. V30's really suit it which may surprise a few owners. Anyone run it through a huge 4x12? It's surprising let me tell you! Sounds like a beast through an Orange 4x12. It's an amp for you personally to enjoy not the audience. That volume where you can enjoy as it's loud but it's not blowing the place up. But it seems to excel at really usable levels. It's more of a home amp or small space jam amp but it's bloody loud gained up. They are great cleans with loads of body and a lovely chime in the top end (in no way brittle or harsh). No they are not 'blackface' style cleans without mids. Break up is so smooth and controlled via your pick. Amazingly thick for a little teenie tiny amp with a 10" speaker. Many people seem to think of Vox's as bright and glassy and that blizzard of nails stuff. I had my metal face on whilst playing it let me tell you. Not some 'voxy' bright bottom less rendition of surprisingly aggro drive tones considering its size and speaker. I can play all the nasty stuff I play on my Jose Marshall no problemo. Open and dynamic not compressed but definitely really aggro. Seriously, this is an aggro little beast with a heavily goosed boost/OD. That is a bit over Katana 100 combo money (Katana schmana.even the Artist was left in the Vox's dust). My wife saw it and said.'oh, I wish I had a suit case just like that' lol. Just thought I'd throw a few adjectives TGP's way.pretty, warm, light, affordable, great, small, inspiring, flexible.
